How Long do fillers Last? Typically, 6 + months. It all depends on which filler and how quickly your body metabolizes the filler.
When will I see results? Almost immediately! Your lips will be swollen at first, but you’ll see the effects pretty quickly! Allow 2 to 3 days for the swelling to settle and calm down. Bruising and swelling at the injection site is very common. If you have a special event to attend, we suggest you schedule your filler treatments a couple of weeks before the event to be sure any possible bruising and/or swelling will have time to heal before your event.
Does it hurt? We will make you as comfortable as possible. When the Doctor numbs your lips with a dental nerve block (just like a dentist would do for a dental procedure), it will be virtually pain-free! We can also apply a topical numbing anesthetic.
How long does it take? The procedure takes about 15 to 20 minutes total after the anesthetic has taken effect. The topical anesthetic will start to wear off after about 15 minutes. The dental block takes an hour or two to wear off completely. You can go about your daily life afterward but shouldn’t make any big plans (like a wedding or important event) for at least 2 weeks in case your bruise.
Are there any side effects ? The most commonly observed side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, and itching at the injection site. These are typically mild in severity. Serious but rare side effects include delayed onset infections, recurrence of herpetic eruptions, and superficial necrosis at the injection site.
